I have been very lucky yet again. I joined some travellers on a tour through Namibia. We saw many amazing places and therefore I will upload the pictures in two parts. The first stop was in the Namib Desert. We passed the Gamsberg Pass – quite the curvy road – but with astounding views. After a quick stop and some ‘Apfelstrudel’ at Solitaire we reached the Sesriem Camp. The next morning was an early start before it got too hot in the Sossusvlei dunes. The climb up was very steep but the effort was worth it. We also walked to the Dead Vlei, these trees must have been almost a thousand years old before they were cut off from the water. Another stop at the Sesriem canyon in the midday heat was only short. Passing through the Gaub and Kuiseb Pass we finally reached Swakopmund.
On another note, I am glad to hear that more and more organisations assist in the fight for saving my species. The Palmwag Lodge is doing so much with its Palmwag Concession Anti-Poaching Fund Raising. A BIG thank you!
See you soon with Part 2 of the Namibia Tour.
With love Stompie!
